What is it that you love about being a Personal Trainer OR Why did you start personal training?
I started personal training because of the positive results that I saw when I started working with a personal trainer at age 19. Now, I am able to show others the benefits of being active, mobile, and healthy. I love working with all ages and fitness levels. Anything from  the teenage athlete, to the senior who just wants to keep moving.

Like you were just in your happy place. My goal is to make sure you get a great workout, and be functional for whatever you do in life, all the while having fun doing it, no matter how you  felt before you came in here. I want to give you a great workout that will make you so excited about it, that you will be telling your friends, family, and coworkers, about it for the next few days, or even weeks!

Outside of the class you teach/coach/train, what is your favorite way to experience fitness, sport and/ or adventure?
I personally try to do something active every day. Whether it’s a crushing workout in the gym, a run in a park somewhere, some light yoga/mobility, or a fun home workout on my front porch with my two cats hanging out with me.

I went to a two week Muay Thai training camp in Thailand in 2015, and also have various other martial arts background. As well, I was in the Calgary Army Reserves for approximately 3 years. Favourite cheat meal is cheeseburgers, or I will also settle for a hotdog, or both….

I knew that I wanted to be a trainer since I was 16, but decided after my twins were born, to finally fulfill that dream and become certified! The best feeling is watching clients realize they are stronger than they think. Watching the transformation that happens from within make me teary-eyed every time.

Motivated and challenged, surprised.  A line I hear often is “that is harder than it looks!”

Outside of the class you teach/coach/train, what is your favorite way to experience fitness, sport and/ or adventure?
Well, that has shifted over the past few years. Now, it's about getting out in nature with my kids: walking, hiking, biking, going to a playground or setting up my slackline at a park.

Fun Fact - I trained at a professional wrestling school in Ontario, run by Smith Hart. I had one local televised performance in New York state. It was my first show and they literally had to shove me out of the curtain for my match!
