What is it that you love about being a Personal Trainer OR Why did you start personal training?
I love watching people embrace both the power and process of movement & exercise. Being just a small part of that profoundly life-changing experience makes it really easy for me to get out of bed every morning.

When you attend one of my training sessions you will leave feeling...
Like you're 1% better than the last time.

Outside of the class you teach/coach/train, what is your favorite way to experience fitness, sport and/ or adventure?
I love where my legs can take me; Hiking, skiing, trail-running and completing the odd ultra-marathon.

One fun fact about you OR what is your "go to cheat" treat or meal?
Cinnamon toast crunch is the best cereal ever made and calling it a cheat meal is blasphemous!

What is it that you love about being a Personal Trainer OR Why did you start personal training?
I started personal training because of my background in sports and the feeling I felt when I originally accomplished my first fitness goals back when I was 16.

When you attend one of my training sessions you will leave feeling...
Like you have accomplished something new, learned something new, or feel better than when you walked in.

Outside of the class you teach/coach/train, what is your favorite way to experience fitness, sport and/ or adventure?
The way I train myself is a combination of strength training and athletic conditioning. I always want to remain strong and lift impressive heavy weights, but I also like to be able to apply that strength and combine it with athleticism. My favourite way to experience fitness outside of the gym is skiing in the winter and playing various sports like football and basketball with friends during the summer.

One fun fact about you OR what is your "go to cheat" treat or meal?
It’s a popular myth in the fitness industry that personal trainers always eat skinless chicken breast, brown rice and kale. While I do eat mostly nutritious foods, I will enjoy cheat meals from time to time. Its hard to pick what my favourite is but some popular choices of mine would be cheeseburgers, perogies, or my biggest weakness ice cream.

Like you are leaving a little bit closer to who you want to see in the mirror.

Outside of the class you teach/coach/train, what is your favorite way to experience fitness, sport and / or adventure?
I like to do loads of weight training and climbing! Climbing is the sport I train for so that I can eventually compete.

I started Personal Training coming from an athletic background it allowed me to be to see the benefit of hard work, dedication, and exercise in overall performance. Whether it’s a new movement, proper form, program design the fitness industry is always evolving and there is always something new and exciting and I love sharing that with my clients.

When you attend one of my training sessions you will leave feeling...
Like it was the best part of your day!  You will feel strong, motivated, and excited about your progress. I never turn down a challenge, especially when people say they hate exercise. If you don’t like exercise, you simply haven’t had the right workout program, found the right sport, or trained with me!

What is it that you love about being a Personal Trainer OR Why did you start personal training?

I know how intimidating and scary it can be to step into the gym and feel out of place, or unsure about what exactly you should be doing. I’m passionate about giving YOU the tools to increase confidence in your lifts, and make fitness a lifestyle.

My motive behind becoming a Personal Trainer comes from my extensive background in coaching athletic teams as well as being a part of them. During practice, I felt my confidence increase; I felt empowered, increased mental clarity, and my body becoming stronger and more mobile than ever before. Immediately, I wanted others to feel the way I did. It excites me to be able to bring that energy, knowledge, and motivation to the gym.

When you attend one of my training sessions you will leave feeling...

Empowered to find your own personal best. Every time. Growth and improvement are huge influences in my training style. "To lift and laugh” is a phrase I embody, as my sessions are just as challenging as they are inspiring. Designed to be tailored to YOU, I like to emphasize that strength is crafted from good movement and form.

Outside of the class you teach/coach/train, what is your favorite way to experience fitness, sport and/ or adventure?

I’m a tree hugger at heart. You will often find me hiking a mountain, jumping in freezing glacier rivers, riding my motorcycle down Hwy 1A, and dabbling in Kick Boxing, HIIT, and Olympic Lifting. Name any activity under the sun and I’ve probably tried it.

One fun fact about you OR what is your "go to cheat" treat or meal?

FUN FACT! I’ve tried every ice cream and donut place in Edmonton, and it’s my goal to try and find the best places in Calgary. Come to me with a honey cruller or raspberry bismarck, and you have my heart for life.
