Hello Big Sky Fitness Members,
Well, the date that you have all been patiently waiting to hear – When will Big Sky Fitness Legacy be opening?
While we are steadily putting the finishing touches on the last of the construction work, we have simultaneously been getting our large equipment pieces assembled and ready for placement.
As previously mentioned, Big Sky Legacy will have the top three equipment lines, in the fitness industry – Life Fitness, Techno Gym and Keiser (and much much more) - No other club in Calgary has this level of high-quality equipment offerings for its members.
We have been in receipt of all our major equipment for 8+ months now and other than Techno Gym, it has all been stored in Calgary for several months. Techno was kind enough to hold our equipment until needed. Upon delivery last week, the three largest pieces of Legacy’s equipment were damaged and are unusable. It has been a frantic time getting this resolved and it is resolved, however, it has extended our planned opening date, so we can have all the replacement equipment in place and operational.
As such – we are pleased to announce that Big Sky Fitness – Legacy club, will be opening Friday, September 9th, at 5.00 am!
Once open, the club will be operating 24 hours a day x 7 days per week.
A number of important details to note:
NOTE: Group classes will be monitored and adjusted to meet our members needs and demands, especially as our membership base grows. Feel free to email our Group Fitness Coordinator, Kristen at kmacphee@bigskyfitness.ca for questions about Group Classes
All members that purchased a pre-sale membership will receive a Thank You / Appreciation gift for your patience during our construction period. Upon your first visit to the club, just check-in with our member services desk and they will explain the three options you have to choose from
Many of our amenity services will be immediately available:
IMPORTANT NOTE: Should you require child minding services in order to use the club – you can continue with a complimentary freeze on your membership, until our child-minding services are available. Please email hello@bigskyfitness.ca or ask at the front desk to ensure that freeze is continued. Membership freezes will only be added upon request
Two other items, we are waiting on but do not affect the opening of the club:
Immediately after the Legacy club is open for business, our Big Sky construction crew will get a well deserved 1-week break, and then will immediately move up to Silver Springs to complete the work on the 3 new Group studios
Additionally, in the ordering of equipment for Legacy, some new pieces were also ordered for Silver Springs and Douglas Glen clubs – these will be installed during the month of September
In closing, it is an extremely exciting time for Big Sky Fitness. To move beyond the covid pandemic, the journey of getting the Legacy club to fruition is just about complete, the finishing of the 3 new group studios at our Silver Springs club, for a late October opening, are all key milestones we could NOT have achieved if it was not for you, our members. We know the frustrations caused, we know the awesome degree of understanding and patience that was afforded to us. And now, we can all take a deep breath, excise our pent-up stresses and allow us to serve you, with “Heightened Member Experiences”.
