What is it you love about teaching Group Fitness?
I love designing and delivering meaningful and memorable movement experiences for people that help them to function more efficiently during the workout, but also while enjoying the activities of daily life. It is such an honour to lead a wide variety of individuals and class formats and journey alongside people as they embrace personal health and fitness. I love creating fun class experiences that motivate participants to adhere to a regular routine of physical activity and in turn reap the many benefits that exercise has to offer, both physically and mentally. United with my participants in the solace we find in fitness, I find no greater joy than helping them be the best version of themselves and witnessing their personal transformations every step of the way.

What group certifications do you have?

I’m a level 5 certified classical Pilates instructor consisting of 850 hours in the study of the body anatomy, classical sequences and healthy movements. My training took place at the Embody School of Pilates in Canmore a respected and accredited Pilates education studio. Prior to the pandemic I ran my own Pilates studio from 2016-2020 and instructed over 150+ clients.

Where were you born?

Originally I was born in Yorkton Saskatchewan and throughout my childhood I had the opportunity to live in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Australia, Manitoba and Ontario. The beautiful Rocky Mountains were calling me back and I now call Calgary home.

Why do you want to teach Pilates in a group setting?

I was originally drawn to Pilates due to an injury. While I noticed an almost immediate improvement, I was really drawn towards the Pilates community and all of the additional physical and mental benefits that Pilates provided. I look forward to teaching and sharing these same experiences in safe and judgement free environment.
